It was a perfect relationship, blossoming into something more interesting and exciting bond. We were happy. We’re in-love. We’re two people whom we believed are the best for each other. We’re meant to be together, that’s it. We build our dreams together, imagining what will happen to us and finally seeing each of those dreams come to life. We never thought that we’ll feel so happy and contented with each other, that was I thought you also feel but…
I guess, not.
You don’t feel the same way about me anymore so you just go away. You’re my “the one who got away”. Are you in-love with someone else? Why do I even bother asking when I am actually sure of the reason? It is because you fell out of love for me and fell for another girl.
I thought what we have is forever because that’s what you promised me. You even made special things just for me not to doubt you. You were extremely passionate and sincere, that’s why I admired you more. You did everything perfect because you said my happiness is your happiness too, so it’s the most important thing for you, but why?

Why didn’t you keep your promise?
Why did you have to fall for her?
I’ve been so honest to you. I did everything to make it last, to make you all mine. You were my best friend. You were and will always be my everything. You were always there every single time. You’ve been my shoulder to cry on, my strength when I’m in my weakest, my savior whenever I’m a mess. You were perfect for me.
How can I let go of you just like that? I never even thought that one day I would lose you forever, but I have to let go because you’re gone now.
I just want to tell you that maybe one day, or just like in Katy Perry’s song, maybe in another life, I would be your girl. We’ll keep all our promises and be us against the world. Or in another life, I would make you stay and fight for you harder so ‘til the end, I won’t have to say that you were the one that got away.
